Job Summary

\n

This Senior Electrical Engineer role leads electrical engineering and design for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communication systems supporting semiconductor cleanrooms, laboratories, and other industrial environments in Boise, ID. The role provides technical direction to designers, reviews design packages, develops requirements, and produces high-quality construction documents. You will work directly with clients, owners, and contractors, support construction activities, and address complex engineering challenges through field coordination and quality review.

CONTRACT TO HIRE

\n

PAY: $57.69/hr - $86.54/hr DOE

\n

LOCATION: Boise, ID

\n

WORK TYPE: Onsite

\n

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

\n

\n

Job Responsibilities

\n

• Perform, lead, and oversee electrical engineering and design for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communication systems.

\n

• Supervise designer work, provide team technical leadership, and perform quality reviews of design packages.

\n

• Develop requirements and prepare technical specifications, bid documents, and construction documents.

\n

• Serve as the Electrical discipline lead or quality-control reviewer.

\n

• Collaborate with owners and contractors and support construction activities on site, including site punch walks.

\n

• Participate in proposals and deliver proactive solutions to client challenges.

\n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering from an accredited university.

\n

• Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, with the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Idaho.

\n

• At least 12 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems.

\n

• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70), voltage-drop, arc-flash, short-circuit, and load-flow calculations.

\n

• Experience with electrical equipment specification, vendor submittal reviews, and field coordination.

\n

• Ability to perform site punch walks and work effectively within construction environments.

\n

\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

• Semiconductor and/or mission-critical or data-center design experience.

\n

• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.

\n

• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.

\n

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for continuous learning.

\n

\n

Work Environment

\n

This is an onsite role in Boise, ID. Work includes site punch walks, field coordination, and support for construction activities in semiconductor cleanrooms, laboratories, and other industrial environments.
