About the role

Own the reliability of our buildings, production equipment, and grounds. You’ll coordinate work, set schedules, and personally execute critical maintenance to keep operations safe and efficient.

Reporting structure

• Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
• Supervision: No direct reports; serves as a working lead coordinating others’ activities

Your impact areas

• Lead and direct maintenance work across facilities, equipment, and yard.
• Build, manage, and expedite preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Train others in mechanical methods, safe work practices, and maintenance standards.
• Ensure tools, parts, and materials are kitted and available for each job.
• Uphold safety procedures; complete incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Maintain an orderly, audit-ready maintenance shop with strong 5S/housekeeping.
• Escalate high-priority repairs and communicate constraints and risks.
• Stage tomorrow’s work areas and resources for an on-time start.
• Perform seasonal activities, including winter snow plowing.
• Open and close the building or yard as required.
• Adapt to business needs by starting early, staying late, or following special schedules.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: 10+ years in equipment maintenance/repair; 5+ years in a material handling and/or manufacturing plant
• Technical: Read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications; diagnose faults and determine spare parts.
• Attributes: Hands-on, meticulous, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical and environmental conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and movement across the facility.
• Lift and move equipment/materials up to 50 lbs.
• Work around noise, dust, fumes, and odors typical of a shop environment.
• Use required PPE: safety glasses and ear protection.
