Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Cardiac Telemetry NurseThis position will not accept local candidates. Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available). BLS, ACLS, NIH required EOW, EOH. Unit specific details: unit size is 33 beds with ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights, acuity dependent. Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, vascular, and med-surg. Some post cath, post pacemakers. Lines/drains/devices include PICC's, dialysis catheters, PEG tubes, ostomies, foley's, chest tubes, NG tubes, tube feeding (kangaroo pumps), wound vacs. Airway includes trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, high flow, nasal cannulas. No ventilators. Drips include Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Heparin, and Insulin. PCA pumps for pain management. Ancillary staff includes 1-3 PCA's and unit secretary depending on census and availability. Phlebotomy available for lab draws. Scrubs are navy blue. Other: nurses are required to read/verify telemetry strips once a shift in EPIC.
