Title: Product Line Manager - Power Connectors

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Compensation: $160K-$180K

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Line Manager to lead and grow a portfolio of interconnect products including connectors, cable assemblies and wire harnesses. The role is responsible for defining product strategy and roadmap, driving lifecycle management, and working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sales and suppliers to deliver profitable, high-quality products that meet customer needs in both power and I/O applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the product line strategy and roadmap for connectors, cable assemblies and related interconnect products across power, input and I/O applications.
• Manage full product lifecycle from concept and requirements through design transfer, launch, sustainment and end-of-life decisions.
• Own product P&L, pricing strategy, cost reduction initiatives and profitability targets; monitor and report performance metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering on product specifications, DFx reviews, validation plans and design-for-manufacturing to ensure robust, manufacturable designs for cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
• Work closely with supply chain and suppliers to qualify components, negotiate contracts, ensure capacity and maintain quality standards for connectors, interconnects and cable assemblies.
• Partner with sales, applications engineering and marketing to develop value propositions, technical collateral, training and competitive positioning.
• Support customer engagements including requirements definition, technical clarifications, product demonstrations and customization requests.
• Drive cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, establishing timelines, deliverables and go-to-market readiness.
• Monitor market trends, competitive offerings and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and product improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements and quality systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of product management or product line leadership experience in electro-mechanical interconnects, cable assemblies or wire harness products.
• Proven experience with connectors, interconnects, cable assemblies and wire harness design, manufacturing and supplier management.
• Technical familiarity with Power I/O applications and how they influence interconnect requirements.
• Strong understanding of connector types, cable assembly processes, wire harness routing and assembly, and associated testing/validation.
• Track record of managing P&L, pricing, cost reduction and delivering profitable product launches.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication and project management skills; comfortable with NPI and sustained operations.
• Experience with ERP, PLM tools, BOM management and standard product lifecycle processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and perform basic electrical and mechanical trade-off analyses.
• Willingness to travel to suppliers and customers as required.
• Preferred: experience with industry standards (IPC, UL, ISO) and quality tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP).
