Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI) is actively recruiting for a Full-Time Facilities Maintenance Technician Level III (Electrician) to join our team at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.

Position Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician Level III (Electrician) is an experienced skilled trades professional responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical systems throughout a hospital and associated facilities. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems, lighting, panels, breakers, motors, controls, emergency power equipment, and other electrical infrastructure critical to hospital operations. The Electrician responds to electrical service requests, diagnoses system failures, completes repairs safely, and helps ensure uninterrupted support for patient care and facility operations. The ideal candidate has strong commercial electrical experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with hospital staff, vendors, contractors, and the VRI facilities management team. Healthcare or hospital maintenance experience is preferred. The position reports to the Facility Supervisor and Facility Manager.
Schedule: Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM. Schedule options: SundayThursday, MondayFriday, or TuesdaySaturday. A flex schedule may occasionally be assigned based on client and facility needs.

Requirements: Selected candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check and complete all required hospital health screenings and vaccinations. Only local candidates will be considered. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of commercial electrical or skilled facilities maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated experience installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment documentation.
- Proficiency using electrical testing equipment, meters, and hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and applicable electrical codes.
- Ability to diagnose electrical system issues and determine appropriate repairs or when specialized support is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a facilities maintenance team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff, contractors, vendors, and management.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must complete required hospital health screenings and vaccinations.
- Valid driver's license or government-issued identification.
Preferred:
- Hospital or acute-care facilities experience.
- Technical or trade school training in electrical technology.
- Experience with commercial or institutional electrical systems.
- Experience with emergency power systems, generators, transfer switches, and building automation systems.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance/work-order systems.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to use hands and arms to operate electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
- Ability to work safely around energized equipment while following lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work in mechanical rooms, patient care areas, utility spaces, rooftops, and other hospital environments.
- Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 100 pounds, as required.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions around electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
