Production Supervisor

Description There is an opening for a Production Supervisor at Ellwood National Forge. The opportunity is assigned at Irvine, however there may be periodic assignments to the Irvine/Warren/Corry plants. This position is an exempt, full time opportunity. The Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Maintaining a safe work environment by assuring plant organization and housekeeping while maintaining product flow. Providing leadership to team members, training, setting clear expectations and completing annual performance evaluations of team members for skills and behavioral performance. Managing production work centers and maximizing product throughput using manufacturing best practices and management directives. Managing product flow to meet production schedules and on time delivery to the customer. Assuring Quality and Continuous Improvement by troubleshooting quality issues and focusing on continuous improvement by identifying, eliminating and preventing obstacles to efficient product flow, quality and efficiency. Being responsible for the accuracy of team member timecards utilizing the UKG Workforce Management system. Being responsible for documentation regarding employment related matters including hiring, promoting, disciplining and supporting affirmative action efforts. Administering, supporting and enforcing safety regulations as well as policies, rules and procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook. Supporting all ENF policies, procedures, and objectives. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Understanding of shop practices, capabilities, product processing and quality requirements. Ability to work well with a team while also working independently. Strong analytical skills, Math skills and problem‑solving ability. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Results oriented. Ability to organize and prioritize. Ability to work well with other departments. Familiarity with Syteline, Microsoft Word and Excel. Willing to work a variety of shifts to provide support for the 24‑hour operations of our facilities. Referred Qualifications 3‑5 or more years direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior Management/Leadership/Supervisory classes/training. Proficiency with reading and interpreting blueprints including GD&T tolerancing. Proficiency with Syteline, Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic understanding of the characteristics of a variety of steels.
