Job Opportunity – Women's Services Charge Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: August 2026

Location: Middle Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time, 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays. LDRP model (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) in a family-centered care environment.

Highlights:

• LDRP unit with 9 beds, 1 OBED, 4-bed Level II NICU, and 1 OR suite for comprehensive maternal and newborn care
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections; 1:3 for couplet care; NICU 1:3 intermediate care
• Documentation systems include Meditech and CPN Central Monitoring with modern equipment including IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist access, and bili-blankets
• Charge experience required; opportunity to lead a seasoned team with strong preceptors and excellent collaboration
• Joint Commission certified facility with Stroke Center, Level II Trauma, and Level II NICU designations
• Work alongside experienced RNs with 7-30 years tenure; supportive team culture focused on mentorship and professional growth

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state licensure
• Labor and Delivery experience including labor management, recovery, newborn assessment, and transition required
• Charge Nurse experience mandatory
• BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training certifications required
• Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies preferred
• Advanced skills: fetal monitoring education and experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil)
• Competency with procedures including C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries
