Job Details Position: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN) Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Location: Baraboo, Wisconsin Employment Type: Travel Nursing Schedule: Night shift, 3 shifts per week Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Hours Per Week: 36 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 09/28/2026 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030 Orientation: 18 hours Charting System: Epic Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend Float Requirement: May float within scope to Med Surg as needed Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand; pending licenses are not accepted Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required Experience managing patient ratios of 1:2-3 preferred and expected Current ACLS , BLS , and NIHSS certifications required Travel nursing experience required Epic charting experience required Ability to care for adult and geriatric ICU patients Strong critical care skill set with comfort in high-acuity environments First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior ICU experience Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, stroke, DKA, AKI, SBO, detox, sepsis, and respiratory failure Assist with rapid sequence intubation and other critical care procedures as needed Care for patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and Spacelabs monitoring Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, ports, blood products, IVs, and vasoactive or cardiac drips Interpret ABGs, dysrhythmias, and patient status changes to guide timely interventions Support infection prevention, isolation precautions, and safe medication administration Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining excellent clinical communication Why You’ll Love This Location Baraboo offers the best of both worlds: a relaxed small-town atmosphere and easy access to outdoor adventure, local dining, and year-round recreation.
