Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (7A–7P)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations on a Medical Surgical unit
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Manage common diagnoses and treatments including surgical care, peritoneal dialysis exchanges, and psychiatric support
• Document patient information accurately using the MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Float as a second nurse to Telemetry and Emergency Department units as needed
• Adhere to scheduling requirements to meet unit staffing needs, including every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Associate Degree in Nursing minimum
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Ability to work every other weekend and adapt schedule to unit needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong Medical Surgical background with familiarity in telemetry monitoring
• Experience with geriatric and adult patient populations
• Comfort working in a team-oriented, family-focused care environment
