Our team works hard, supports one another, and always makes space to celebrate wins and have a little fun along the way.This role supports our procedure suite and is ideal for someone who thrives in an active, hands-on clinical environment.Responsibilities include: Assisting with procedure time-outs alongside the physician and radiology tech Helping patients on and off the procedure table Supporting recovery MAs with patient discharge Assisting Intake MAs with room turnover.The ideal candidate is: Self-motivated, energetic, and a true go-getter Able to anticipate needs in the procedure suite and recognize where support is needed Skilled at identifying and resolving bottlenecks to keep patient flow safe and efficient Team-oriented and happiest when staying busy and collaborating with othersThe Medical Assistant (MA) role is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant MA role functions under the license of the physician/advanced practice practitioner when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.MaineHealth will never request financial information during the interview or pre-hiring process.
