About the Position

Job Title: Cardiology Clinical Services Profession: Clinical Services Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year for RN and RT(R) License: RN License, WI License for RT(R) Certifications: BLS, ACLS for RN; ARRT, BLS for RT(R) Must-Have: Experience with general interventional radiology (IR) cases. For RN: Ability to give sedation unless anesthesia is involved, monitor and chart. For RT(R): Experience with scrubbing and panning simultaneously, basic experience with general IR cases. Description: This is a Level III Trauma Center. The facility has a Level III NICU and is a Magnet Designated site. It hosts a comprehensive stroke center. The total bed count is 933. The department is staffed 24/7 and sees approximately 40-50 adult patients daily. Common procedures include kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, central lines, PICC lines, ports, fistulograms, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, and thoracentesis or paracentesis. CT Room support is also provided for cryo procedures, CT biopsies, and drain placements. Neuro IR experience is required for RNs; approval from management is needed for RT(R) candidates without this experience. Preferred AAA intervention experience for applicants. Travelers must be willing to take call as needed for both general IR and neuro IR based on experience. On-call expectations include one call shift per week on weekdays and one in every five or six weekends. Orientation will include preceptor support for 1-2 weeks. Key technology used includes EMR, medication dispensing systems, and various imaging equipment. Travelers will be required to support weekend rotations and be responsive within 30 minutes for call. All essential support staff are available 24/7. Scrub color is provided.
