Quality Manager

Talent Finders is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and mature quality systems within a manufacturing/production environment. This role independently evaluates, selects, and applies quality techniques (IATF 16949, ISO 14001), drives continuous improvement, leads audits (internal, supplier, third-party), manages corrective/preventive actions, partners cross‑functionally on APQP/PPAP, and serves as a customer liaison to ensure timely issue resolution and satisfaction. The position may supervise hourly or salaried non‑exempt staff and reports on quality performance while maintaining compliance with customer and legal requirements. Responsibilities Independently evaluate, select, and apply quality techniques, procedures, and criteria; adapt and modify as needed Determine, document, and prioritize areas for quality and process improvement Review current policies and recommend plans to elevate quality standards Maintain and ensure conformance to IATF 16949 requirements Monitor and report progress of environmental improvement programs Maintain ISO 14001 requirements and related documentation Provide leadership and subject‑matter expertise for quality system conformance to IATF Participate in new supplier audits to ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and specifications Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures Participate in cross‑functional on‑site readiness reviews and audits Verify corrective and preventive action (CAPA) responses for effectiveness and appropriateness Serve as customer liaison to ensure satisfaction and timely concern resolution Participate and provide expertise for APQP and PPAP quality requirements Report daily/weekly/monthly quality metrics and items Provide administrative project support: collect data, maintain project documentation, train staff, and perform general administrative duties Develop proposed project objectives and targets; report progress to management Manage and monitor activities of staff reporting to the position Attend meetings necessary for duties and organizational development Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree Minimum 5 years’ experience managing quality and process improvements in a manufacturing or production environment Hands‑on experience with root cause analysis and cause mapping Proven experience managing and maintaining customer relations through written follow‑up and on‑site visits Experience with third‑party quality audits Experience with internal certifications of manufacturing systems Working knowledge and maintenance of IATF 16949 requirements Working knowledge and maintenance of ISO 14001 requirements Experience with APQP and PPAP processes (participation and knowledge base) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to operate self‑directed on complex assignments with sound professional judgment People management experience; ability to supervise hourly or salaried non‑exempt staff #J-18808-Ljbffr
