As A Childcare Teacher you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging play-based learning environment for infants, toddlers, preschool children, pre-kindergarten children, and school-age children. Reporting to the Center Director, the teacher will support child development, guide positive behavior, maintain organized classrooms, and provide families with daily updates about each child’s experiences and progress.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.
• Facilitate age-appropriate, play-based learning activities.
• Support child development and assess developmental progress.
• Guide behavior using positive behavior support strategies.
• Monitor health and safety practices throughout the classroom.
• Communicate with parents and provide daily updates.
• Document children’s progress and classroom observations.
• Organize and maintain an inviting, orderly classroom.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in early childhood education.
• OCCRRA account.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and child development assessment.
• Classroom management skills.
• Positive behavior support experience or knowledge.
• Understanding of health and safety practices.
• Strong parent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Patience when working with children.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
