Concrete Finisher - Pay based on experience

Reports to Crew Foreman Competitive Wage & Benefits

Objective

Apply skill and experience to perform a variety of construction activities relating to the layout, preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete. This position is expected to perform all aspects of concrete work with minimal direction from a crew foreman. Pay based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities

• Layout, site preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete on a variety projects.  Subgrade preparation  Setting forms to required grade & layout  Cutting/bending/tying reinforcement;  Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float;  Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedge;  Ability to use trade tools and miscellaneous hand tools

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. 5+ years of applicable construction experience. Bridge construction a plus.  Must demonstrate a positive attitude.  Ability to work as a member of a Team.  Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, balance, stoop  Work outdoors in all weather conditions & extreme temperatures

• Construction: 5 years (Required)
• concrete finishing: 3 years (Required)
• concrete forming: 3 years (Required)

• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:
