Veterinary Technician - Theriogenology

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their Brentwood, TN Hospital. Schedule Monday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday: 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday: 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pay $21.00 - $41.00 / hour This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through leveling system As a Theriogenology Veterinary Technician, you will... Schedules C-Sections Assisting in collection of Semen Samples Genetic testing to help minimize the risk of passing on hereditary diseases (ex: OFA radiographs) Assisting with Artificial Insemination Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.). Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures. Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure. Discharge IM and Theriogenology patients from the hospital, including basic client education. Additional job duties as assigned. Why BluePearl?
