Responsibilities

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm, including a one hour lunch.

Core Duties:

• The Psychologist will practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
• The Psychologist will provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
• Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
• Will perform walk-in duties on a rotational schedule.
• Will be required to perform psychological testing and necessary testing results.
• The Psychologist will provide training to junior providers/enlisted upon request.
• Seeking to improve the clinic by contributing to innovation and is expected to see evidence-based training/certificates for application of most up to date treatment modalities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Degree/Education: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force.

Experience: Must have 24 months full-time experience post-licensure in the last 36 months in the evaluation and treatment of adult patients mental and emotional disorders. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist.

Life Support Certification: Possess current ARC or AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification. Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Providers seeking clinical privileges through a DHA facility must have evidence of current clinical practice and must have actively practiced in their discipline within the past 2 years. This documentation must include professional references and verified privilege lists.
