Our new client operates two large-scale advanced manufacturing facilities in Central Texas. These sites support 24/7 production of highly specialized technology components used across multiple industries. The campuses include clean-room environments, engineering labs, and high-volume production lines that require a diverse, skilled workforce.
Job Summary
We are seeking Document Control Specialist/OQA to join our team. You will serve as the final line of defense for wafers departing the factory. This role is critical for identifying physical defects, discoloration, or other anomalies on wafers to ensure they meet strict quality standards. You will be responsible for operating advanced inspection equipment, performing detailed defect classifications, and leading root-cause investigations when nonconforming materials are found.
Job Description
- Equipment Operation: Load, operate, and assist in troubleshooting Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) equipment.
- Defect Analysis: Perform defect reviews and classifications using SEMES review stations and/or Olympus microscopes.
- Quality Control: Identify nonconformities against established quality standards and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Incident Management: Investigate root causes for nonconforming materials, create summary reports, and lead the factory response with appropriate escalation based on severity.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain ownership of closed-loop verification for corrective actions and develop root-cause preventive countermeasures.
Skills Required
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
○ Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) concepts.
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience with Rudolph AVI equipment, SEMES review stations, or Olympus microscopes is strongly desired.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accountability. +1
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform visual and physical requirements of the position, including standing and/or sitting for a 12-hour shift.

Education/Training/Certifications
- A two-year technical degree; OR
- Equivalent military experience; OR
- 3+ years of applicable experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

- Start Time: Wed, Thu, Fri (Sat)
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Pay rate
- $28-30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
