Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LTACH ICU (CCU) night shift position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and neuro experience.

Job Details

• LTAC ICU (CCU) unit setting,
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,
• 36 or 48 hours per week options available,
• 40 hours a week Monday through Friday schedule pattern,
• 13 to 26 week assignment options,
• Weekends supported by a rotating on-call system among 6 to 8 staff members,
• On-call coverage required after 5pm daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call staff,
• Floating to other units and campuses required based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• Neuro experience required,
• LTAC experience preferred,
• 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required,
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and complex ICU skills including vasopressors, sedation, and titration of drips,
• Charge nurse experience preferred,
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing in an LTACH setting managing complex respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, and neurological cases,
• Perform skills such as chest tube care, tracheostomy management, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and complex wound care,
• Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation weaning, ARDS management, and neurological assessments including stroke scale evaluation,
• Orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training,
• Pre-assignment testing and required modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials,
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility to be eligible, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles,
• Exceptions apply for certain specialties requiring 50+ miles from the contracted or flagship campus,
• Travelers cannot extend beyond a third consecutive 13-week contract without transitioning to employee status,
• A six-month separation is required before returning as a traveler if not converting to team member status
