Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location Kennewick, WA

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule 4 ten-hour day shifts per week with call, Monday through Thursday.

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in the recovery phase, ensuring their smooth transition from anesthesia to wakefulness. With a focus on safety and comfort, the RN will monitor vital signs, manage pain relief, and communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their recovery progress from anesthesia.
• Administer appropriate medications and manage pain relief effectively.
• Provide support and education to patients and families during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records using electronic health records (EHR).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or similar acute care settings.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
