NICU Registered Nurse – Night Shift

What You'll Do

• Attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries and assist with newborn transition.
• Admit and discharge neonates in the NICU and newborn observation unit.
• Provide care for newborns requiring specialized neonatal support.
• Administer medications through appropriate routes, including IV, IM, subcutaneous, enteral, and topical routes.
• Place neonatal IVs, draw labs, and administer blood products.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, central lines, oxygen, and nitric oxide therapy.
• Collaborate with NNPs, physicians, respiratory therapists, radiology, social services, occupational therapy, and other members of the care team while educating and supporting parents.

What You Need

• Registered Nurse qualifications; specific license details were not provided.
• BLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Delivery attendance experience.
• Epic experience.
• Experience in a Level III NICU.
• Skills with neonatal IV placement, lab draws, ventilator and central-line management, medication administration, and blood administration.
• Ability to work every other weekend and applicable holiday rotations.
• Willingness to float to the newborn observation unit and normal newborn nursery as needed.
