Job Summary Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements in the purchase or sale/delivery of equipment, materials, products or services | Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations | Requests or approves amendments to contract terms or contract extensions | Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids General Profile Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines Solves complex problems Works independently, receives minimal guidance May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on‑going activities or objectives Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment Essential Functions Prepares, examines, negotiates and revises contracts. Ensures contracts are consistent with management's goals, policies, and procedures. Handles the acquisition, distribution, and store of purchases. Assures that all clarifications and amendments of negotiations are incorporated into the final contract. Generates, maintains, and audits a central contract-resource file. Ensures that necessary procedural controls exist. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree Discipline/Major: Finance or Business preferred Knowledge, skills & abilities: Organizational skills; oral and written communication skills; detail oriented; leadership skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Travel Requirements No or very little travel likely.
