RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care

The position involves managing 1-3 critically ill patients. Responsibilities include caring for various patient populations such as neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients. Candidates must have the ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips. Assisting with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests is required. The nurse will utilize equipment such as EPIC EMR, automated dispensing cabinets, IV pumps, feeding pumps, and patient monitoring systems. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:2. The unit has 32 beds and may require floating to other critical care departments and med-surg units as needed. Candidates will receive a comprehensive orientation to the unit and procedures. The schedule includes working every other weekend and holiday, with flexibility in rotations between day and night shifts. Stability in scheduling is emphasized to reduce frequent shifts from days to nights.
