Licensed Vocational Nurse -LVN

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The LVN will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including pediatrics, medical-surgical units, and inpatient care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient welfare, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition. Assist with procedures such as phlebotomy and catheterization. Provide care for patients in various departments, including ER and inpatient settings. Engage in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Educate patients and their families about health management and post-discharge care. Skills Proficient in pediatric nursing care and ventilatory support systems. Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices. Ability to phlebotomize effectively while ensuring patient comfort. Experience in emergency room (ER) settings is a plus. Familiarity with discharge planning processes to enhance patient recovery at home. Competence in catheterization techniques for various patient needs. Understanding of infection control measures to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and team members. Qualifications Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification required. Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
