A wealth of information is available at .DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position offers an excellent opportunity for both entry-level attorneys seeking hands-on experience in corporate, sales, and personal income tax matters, as well as experienced practitioners who value predictable hours and a stable schedule. Work is performed independently under the guidance of a supervising attorney and within a relaxed environment. As an Attorney I or Attorney II, you will perform the following duties: Case Analysis: Review taxpayer petitions and complete case files—such as returns, notices, ledgers, audit reports, and Board of Appeals decisions—to complete a full analysis of each case Guidance Drafting: Make well-reasoned recommendations to the Board regarding the proper resolution of tax appeals based on your analysis Collaborative Communication: Request additional information from taxpayers and meet with taxpayers, their representatives, or Department of Revenue Counsel to discuss issues and evidence, when needed Professional Development: This position also provides continuing legal education Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Free parking. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. Attorney II: Graduation from an accredited school of law and certificate of admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and two years of professional legal experience. Post Employment Requirement: Applicants must be certified for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and must maintain membership on a continuous basis during employment. Additional Requirements: You must have experience using Microsoft computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook or the ability to learn relevant software applications.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
