Medical Assistant I Pain Management

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a range of primary care and specialty services to the communities we serve. Scope of Work As a Medical Assistant, you will be part of our clinical support team, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality patient care. Manage patient flow by assisting with appointments and promoting the delivery of healthcare services. Perform technical procedures and clinically oriented activities within scope of practice. Assist management in achieving office efficiencies, supporting physicians, clinical staff, and management to promote patient satisfaction. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a competency‑based Medical Assistant training program or at least 6 months of experience within the last 7 years as an LPN, EMT, ER Tech, or paramedic. Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced outpatient setting. Preferred Qualifications 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting. Completion of a recent clinical course of study (learning healthcare‑system experience). Experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting (CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required). Certifications CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association, valid within 30 days, or CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Red Cross, valid within 30 days.
