Research Study Assistant (Intermittent) (Night Shift) at University of Washington Seattle, WA

Job Description The Department of Emergency Medicine is pleased to offer an intermittent Research Study Assistant (RSA) position for the Night Shift at Harborview Medical Center and UW Medical Center. The role supports clinical and health services research across a wide range of pathways, focusing on out‑of‑hospital cardiac arrest, traumatic injuries, strokes, sepsis, and opioid-related conditions. The RSA works as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes faculty, fellows, medical students, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities Screen and enroll eligible subjects on various protocols. Assist with development and maintenance of research databases. Complete data entry for study subjects. Gather, record, organize, transcribe, and verify the accuracy of research study data. Process biospecimens per lab guidelines. Perform related duties as required. Work approximately overnight and on weekends. Position Details Shift: Night Shift (United States of America) Temporary position. Minimum Requirements Two years of college‑level coursework in a relevant academic area. One year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related academic area. Prior healthcare experience. Proficiency in REDCap. Experience with EFIC studies. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Well‑honed organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines. Ability to work with colleagues in a way that enhances collaboration and team building. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
