Network Migration Architect / Technical Lead (L3)

Lead the end-to-end design, planning, testing, and execution of the network separation and migration program. The role owns network architecture, migration execution, application connectivity, cutover planning, and stakeholder coordination across infrastructure, security, endpoint, and application workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design target-state LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewall, and VPN architecture.
• Define IP addressing, VLAN, routing, DNS/DHCP, and network segmentation strategy.
• Create migration approach, cutover methodology, rollback plans, and migration runbooks.
• Plan network migration waves by site, department, and switches.
• Coordinate migration schedules with endpoint, server, cybersecurity, and application teams.
• Lead weekend cutovers and migration command-center activities.
• Configure and deploy switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, routing, and VPN connectivity.
• Implement VLAN, routing, firewall, NAT/PAT, and network security policies.
• Implement cloud connectivity and networking.
• Support server and application migration readiness activities.
• Ensure high availability, resilience, monitoring, and operational support readiness.

Testing & Validation:

• Develop comprehensive migration test plans.
• Validate application access, wireless connectivity, printer access, VPN connectivity, and legacy application dependencies.
• Lead pilot migrations and production readiness reviews.

Required Skills:

• Technical: Cisco Switching & Routing, Cisco Wireless / WLC, Palo Alto Firewalls & Fortinet Firewalls, LAN/WAN Design, VPN Technologies, Cloud networking, Cloud Connectivity, VLAN & Network Segmentation, Routing Protocols (BGP/OSPF), DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT, Azure Networking, Network Security Architecture
• Migration Experience: Enterprise Network Transformation, M&A / Divestiture Carve-Out Programs, Data Center & Site Migration, User & Device Migration, Network Cutover Planning
• Experience: 10+ years in Enterprise Network Engineering, 5+ years leading large-scale migration programs, Experience supporting 1,000+ user environments, Experience coordinating multi-vendor and cross-functional infrastructure teams, Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
