Inventory Clerk

Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm

Pay: $15hr - 20hr (DOE)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to support inventory operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for managing material movements, processing inventory transactions, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring proper handling and storage of electronic components. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory management systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy.

Job Responsibilities

• Process Goods Issue (GI) and Goods Receipt (GR) transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage daily material issuance, receipts, and production work order returns.
• Perform monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits.
• Support inventory tracking and transactions using SAP/MES systems.
• Maintain proper custody and control of inventory materials to prevent loss, damage, or discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, shelves, and inventory floors.
• Follow company inventory procedures and material handling guidelines.
• Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping of inventory activities.
• Report inventory concerns, discrepancies, or operational issues to the Supervisor or Section Manager.
• Assist with inventory control projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of inventory management experience, preferably handling electronic parts and components.
• Experience with SAP, MES, or similar inventory management systems preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle and identify electronic components accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
