$11.00 to $14.00 per hour We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! Vacation: Employees are granted one week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full‑time service. Access to the FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate will handle a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise. Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Handles all cash and negotiable items in compliance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools. Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience. Successfully completes assigned training. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting). Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification. Employees may be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings. Minimum age: 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to serve customers and work as part of a team. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Computer‑literate and able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines. Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed commission information is provided during the interview process.
