Orientation Duration: 0.5 month. Orientation to the company and local community. Learn about customers, culture, business strategies, etc. Learn about payroll schedules and payroll tax withholding. Local training area, housing options, apartment complexes and transportation options. Meet key contacts and other employees. Receive computer training on company systems. Orientation to local community including cultural centers, volunteer opportunities, local sporting events, and entertainment venues. Orientation scheduled to take up to one month and takes place concurrently with the first phase of training. Restaurant Supervisor Duration: 4.5 months. Learn American service standards. Learn point-of-sale computer system. Coordinate day-to-day operation of restaurant. Assist in daily pre-shift meetings. Support and assist staff. Assist in providing training, coach, or mentor employees. Learn upselling techniques. Sidework assignment and control. Ordering procedures for supplies. Food and beverage cost control strategies. Creation of daily, weekly and monthly forecasts. Labor cost control. Staffing and scheduling procedures. Revenue reporting. Employee gratuity distribution. Payroll procedures and adjustments. Opening and closing duties of restaurant manager. Cafe Supervisor Duration: 3 months. Lead and mentor junior team members. Oversee daily floor operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. Support onboarding and training of new staff. Delegate tasks to team members based on shift needs. Monitor staff performance and provide real-time feedback. Ensure adherence to café policies and standards. Assist in problem-solving and conflict resolution to maintain a positive team environment. In-Room Dining Supervisor Duration: 4 months. Learn to lead and supervise in-room dining associates, providing daily direction, support, and motivation to ensure optimal performance and guest satisfaction. Assist in training, developing, and holding team members accountable, fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment. Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless communication and execution. Deliver a positive and friendly attitude to all guests experience. Promptly and accurately deliver room service orders, ensuring proper presentation and that food meets quality and temperature standards. Learn all menu items, ingredients, and allergens. Assist in garnishing and plating meals, portioning desserts, ladling soup. Follow all food handling and sanitation guidelines to ensure guest health and safety. Adhere to alcohol service laws and ABC board regulations. Accurately report gratuities and follow all company policies and federal regulations regarding tipping and compensation. Complete all assigned side work duties. Efficiently break down setups at the end of each shift and ensure proper storage and cleanliness for the next service. Requirements You are enrolled in a post-secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry. You have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA). You have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA). You have shown consistent career growth over the last years.
