Master Plumber

Master PlumberThe Master Plumber is the licensed plumbing authority responsible for the safe, code-compliant operation and maintenance of all plumbing systems at a large workforce accommodations facility in the State of Texas. The site consists of temporary, modular, hardwall structures configured into a complex that supports housing, washrooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, and common spaces for a rotating workforce. In addition to licensed plumbing work, the role supports general facilities maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations. This position requires an active Texas Master Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) and strict compliance with Texas plumbing codes and standards.Your work will include:Plumbing Systems & Code ComplianceInstall, inspect, repair, service, and maintain plumbing systems, including domestic water distribution, drainage, waste, and vent (DWV) systems, hot water systems and heaters, fixtures, valves, pumps, and backflow preventionDiagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, pressure issues, and system failuresEnsure plumbing systems serving temporary and modular structures operate safely and reliablySupervise and verify plumbing work performed by apprentices, journeymen, or contractors as permitted by Texas lawFacilities Maintenance SupportSupport general facilities maintenance activities related to plumbing infrastructurePerform routine inspections to identify deficiencies or risksRespond to plumbing emergencies and service callsCoordinate with other trades, maintenance staff, and subcontractorsMaintain documentation of inspections, repairs, and corrective actionsSafety, Leadership & ComplianceEnsure all plumbing work is performed in accordance with site safety programsEnforce lock-out/tag-out and confined-space procedures where applicableSupport audits, inspections, and regulatory reviewsProvide technical guidance to maintenance personnelQualificationsWho are we looking for?Active Texas Master Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE)Eligible to supervise plumbing work in accordance with Texas lawMinimum 5+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional plumbingDemonstrated experience working with temporary, modular, or prefabricated structuresStrong knowledge of the Texas State Plumbing CodeExperience supporting high-occupancy residential or workforce accommodation facilitiesProven troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of site plumbing systemsStrong documentation, communication, and organizational skillsPhysically capable of performing hands-on plumbing workAdditional InformationDexterra is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
