Brand Ambassador - Binghamton, NY

Position Overview MKTG Brand Ambassadors (BAs) are Diageo brand enthusiasts who educate consumers on Diageo Brands during on‑premise, off‑premise, and experiential special events. They deliver a unique sampling experience and help consumers make informed brand decisions, reinforcing and/or increasing brand awareness. Brand Ambassadors embody the Diageo brand they represent and humanize the brand as a result, building consumer trust by providing product knowledge and education. BAs are expected to participate in promotional events when selected and to complete regular online training regarding our client brands. They must immerse themselves in the product knowledge—including category, product distillation/production, and brand—to pass exams and showcase this knowledge in a final two‑to‑three minute presentation at events. This is an occasional employment position. Being hired as a Brand Ambassador does not guarantee assignment to a particular number of events. All BAs must sign‑off on required forms and adhere to all MKTG policies, procedures, and the NA Diageo Marketing Code. Primary Responsibilities Actively engage and educate consumers at the point of experience, purchase, and consumption Humanize the brands and build trust through education Lead consumers through a sampling journey of featured products Regularly complete digital training for market, brand, and programs as directed Adapt to tech platforms to receive and input information necessary to represent the Diageo brands Arrive to events on time, in appropriate attire as specified by the market team, and prepared to execute promotions as outlined in program standards Follow Responsible Server Guidelines and report guideline violations Merchandise accounts with Diageo point‑of‑sale (POS) when applicable Pay for bar spend or product via company‑issued debit card Pick up or accept delivery of promotional materials from the event team Ensure proper care and return of company property (e.g., uniforms, event materials) Complete post‑event recap (ERF) in the MKTG reporting website Take digital event photos to showcase our events to Diageo Understand how Diageo brands differ from competitors and report on competitive activity in the market Maintain appropriate appearance for consumer engagement Follow company policy and procedures Required Skills & Experience Outgoing Brand Knowledge and Personification: complete training to understand and translate brand information to consumers in a relatable manner Engaging: be personable, courteous, and friendly with consumers to build trust in the brand Reliable: arrive to events ready to start on time and work until the event ends Physical and Other Requirements Stand or walk for extended periods of time Carry heavy trays, boxes, or other objects Maintain a pleasant disposition under stress Satisfy consumer appeal and client marketing requirements Approachable and able to engage consumers #J-18808-Ljbffr Doist
