In this job, you’ll serve as a strategic leader for Cloud and Infrastructure technologies within their portfolio and across the enterprise, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in cloud governance, service quality, operational excellence, and platform modernization.The Senior Advisor will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Project Delivery, and Operations teams to establish and maintain cloud and infrastructure standards, governance frameworks, and operational best practices that support enterprise objectives:Lead cross-functional efforts to improve the reliability, scalability, security, and operational readiness of cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms.Partner with vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), and technology teams to drive service quality, operational performance, and continuous improvement while influencing technology roadmaps and strategic direction.Establish quality metrics, governance processes, and performance standards to ensure cloud and infrastructure services meet business expectations for availability, resiliency, security, and customer experience.Analyze operational trends, service performance, incidents, and risks to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.Drive cloud enablement, migration, remediation, and modernization initiatives while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security requirements, and operational support models.Engage senior leadership and stakeholders to provide strategic recommendations, facilitate decision-making, and oversee critical work streams that deliver sustainable business value and operational excellence.As an IT Systems Quality, Senior Advisor – Cloud & Data Center Platforms, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?ResponsibilitiesMonitors, measures, and improves application service delivery to meet business needs, ensuring service level agreements and business expectations for quality and timely resolution for application issues and operational activities are metLeads technology evaluation, design, and implementation of infrastructure platforms supporting multiple database platforms, including refresh/upgrades, new feature enablement, and tool acquisitionSupports the development of best practices and governance for integration of complex systems, ensuring deliverables meet proper standards and requirements traceabilityOversees Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure that products built are free of flaws, function as designed, follow design standards, and leverage existing and innovative technologies optimally and effectivelyExecutes and leads Agile initiatives for projects and enhancements, facilitating collaboration and training with othersParticipates in strategic budget planning and analyzes project budget and multi-year financial projections for ongoing capital and operational costs for large initiatives within the portfolioIdentifies project scope gaps, makes recommendations, and decides on product design and product readiness for large or company-wide transformation projects that impact project schedule and fundingAnalyzes defect reports, incident trends and other metrics post-implementation to assess application stability/quality to implement engineering service improvement programs based on the feedback loopA material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.Minimum QualificationsTen or more years of experience with IT systems management, software development lifecycle, and infrastructure management.Experience supporting Managed Service Provider (MSP) operations.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices, processes, and principles.Strong experience in the field performing complex analysis, consulting, and providing recommendations.Experience supporting technology engineering, platform modernization, cloud adoption, infrastructure services, or operational excellence initiatives.Experience with cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud governance practices.Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, FinOps, TOGAF, operational excellence, or service quality frameworks.Experience with observability, monitoring, service management, reporting, or analytics platforms.Experience working with managed service providers, vendor governance, or service delivery organizations.Experience supporting cloud migration, remediation, modernization, or operational readiness initiatives.Additional Information This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
