The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the mechanical design and integration of advanced missile and UAV launcher systems, owning hardware development from initial architecture through production and deployment. As theSenior Mechanical Design Engineer your responsibilities will include Leading mechanical design and CAD development of launcher systems, complex assemblies and structural interfaces Developing deployment mechanisms, actuation systems, retention and release hardware Integrating missile, UAV and launcher hardware onto mobile ground and maritime platforms Engineering solutions for shock, vibration, thermal loads, environmental protection and mechanical safety Driving prototyping, qualification, system integration, manufacturing and production transition As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will bring Extensive mechanical engineering experience within aerospace, defence or complex electromechanical systems Experience designing missile launchers, deployment mechanisms or closely related hardware Strong SolidWorks or equivalent CAD skills, including large assemblies and mechanical interfaces Knowledge of structural design, mechanisms, tolerancing, ruggedised hardware and environmental loads Proven technical leadership across hardware development, integration, testing and manufacturing Experience with MIL-STD-810, FEA, electromechanical interfaces, launch safety or maritime systems would be advantageous. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will enjoy genuine technical ownership, influencing critical engineering decisions while remaining closely involved in design, hardware integration and testing.
