Senior Operations Manager, Consumer Lending

Manage one or more major operations segments for a site, region, or product line within the bank’s internal operations Identify, analyze, and resolve complex product-line problems Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements Identify opportunities to improve process performance and operating efficiency Supervise day-to-day employee activities, including transaction execution Serve as the primary operations advisor to Regional Executives and market leaders Analyze operational performance, identify risks and trends, and drive action plans Manage regulatory and compliance-related Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), including monitoring, remediation, and sustained performance Lead executive business reviews, manager deep dives, and regional performance discussions Partner with National Operations, Controls, and business leaders to implement initiatives, operational changes, and risk mitigation strategies Provide operational consultation, coaching, issue resolution, and risk management guidance Gather, analyze, and escalation associate feedback to influence process improvements and enhance operational efficiency Support performance management, control remediation, onboarding, and urgent risk-related escalations Forecast and manage staffing levels and capacities Coach employees and provide constructive feedback Apply end-to-end process knowledge and ensure adherence to bank and regulatory policies Develop and analyze procedures, and oversee budget and expense management, reporting, and forecasting Evaluate process efficiencies and identify improvement and growth opportunities Align bank priorities with employee metrics and goals, and improve team performance Demonstrate inclusive leadership, process and data management, enterprise communication, risk management, people coaching, financial stewardship, talent development, and business outcome delivery Requirements 3+ years of mortgage lending experience with specific focus on operations and compliance 2+ years of experience presenting materials to an executive audience Demonstrated leadership influence across mid-level market leaders and ability to engage and impact senior executives Willingness to maintain occasional in-market presence to connect with frontline associates Active participation as part of the regional leadership team Responsibility for shaping direction and driving performance across operational, regulatory, and risk metrics Ability to influence across peers, executives, and field personnel Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs Ability to communicate complex topics crisply Demonstrated ability to take ownership and deliver results Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience Bachelor’s Degree (desired qualification) 3–5 years of Home Lending Support or Execution Experience (desired qualification) Compliance with applicable FDIC, Safe Act/Loan Originators, and FINRA hiring restrictions Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing operations segments within banking, focusing on compliance, risk management, and process improvement.
