The Role As an Apella Account Services Associate (ASA), you’ll serve in a key support role for advisory teams working daily in close collaboration with Client Relationship Specialists (CRSs), Financial Planning Associates (FPAs), and Apella Advisors who will be serving HNW and UHNW clients. This role reports into a Client Relationship Specialist, Lead and works as part of a team of two or more CRSs providing administrative and operational support to assigned Apella Advisors. This is a rare opportunity to step into a well‑supported, high‑trust, administrative role within a national, fee‑only RIA. You’ll receive the opportunity to support seasoned Apella Advisors and provide increasing leverage to their activities as you learn the financial advisory business from the inside and earn opportunities to work on challenging client management issues. You’ll be joining a team obsessed with client service – where good enough never is. You’ll be expected to identify and take charge of opportunities to improve team operations and efficiency from Day 1. This will be a challenging administrative support role that can lead to significant opportunity and career growth within the firm. The right candidate for the ASA position will execute brilliantly, improve constantly, and have a relentless passion for identifying ways to raise the bar for themselves, their teammates, and the firm. Where you’ll work: This role will be located on our West Hartford, CT‑based team and be expected to be available for in‑office meetings with some remote work flexibility as determined by your specific team leadership. What you’ll be responsible for: Providing daily administrative support to CRSs, FPAs, and Apella Advisors Office management including ordering supplies, incoming mail, and delivery receipts Preparations for onsite client visits and ensuring a “white glove” experience Completing and processing account forms with accuracy within the deliverable timeframe Scanning documents and logging receipt for compliance purposes Assisting with Advisor expense filing and reimbursements Processing cashiering requests with accuracy and within the service level timeframe Responding to client service requests as needed Assisting with marketing & operations department projects on an as needed basis Perform other duties as required by senior team members What qualifications we’re looking for: A four‑year degree in business, finance, economics or similarly relevant field preferred (not required) 1‑3 years of administrative experience working in financial services, engineering or technical fields High initiative personality and superb judgment under pressure Ability to navigate competing priorities while maintaining composure and focus Exceptional critical thinking abilities and attention to detail Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong listening skills; professional demeanor Strong organizational, prioritization and project management skillsAbility to multi‑task and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); ERP and CRM software Eager to learn and able to adapt quickly to multiple technology platforms and rapid change What we offer: A base salary range of $50K - $60K with discretionary bonus and opportunity to learn the wealth advisory industry from experienced Apella Advisors and client service professionals on a daily basis.
