Certified Occupational Therapy AssistantAs a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients recover and improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities.Responsibilities:Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patientsHelp patients perform therapeutic exercises and activitiesMonitor and document patient progressEducate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercisesAssist in the maintenance of equipment and suppliesCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient careRequirements:Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant programState licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy AssistantStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentKnowledge of medical terminology and anatomyExperience working with patients in a healthcare setting is preferredPhysical and Sensory Requirements:Considerable physical activity:Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to fifty (50) or more pounds.
