Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and high-risk L&D experience.

Details

• Work setting is a 629-bed short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and teaching facility
• Assignment is in the Labor & Delivery unit with floating required between units and across facilities within the state
• High-risk L&D patient population including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
• Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Some weekend shifts required
• No on-call required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required (antepartum, pre-eclampsia, VBAC/TOLAC, maternal emergencies)
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and response to maternal emergencies
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
• Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous work at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed during the consideration process
