MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Position: Full‑time Maintenance Technician Location: Samsung - 1530 FM973, Taylor, TX 76574 (online applications only) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–4:00 pm (full time) Pay: $27.50 to $28.50 per hour Minimum Experience: 1 year (minimum) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in making decisions on all normal and complex repairs; report major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman. Construct, finish, install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment. Clean, lubricate, service, repair or diagnose HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar specialty equipment. Supervise and lead a group of workers on a project. Read, comprehend and transmit complicated detailed instructions verbally and in writing. Teach advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department. Review work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; create punch lists. Report on and repair discrepancies as assigned. Analyze and correct complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team. Maintain logs, perform rounds and complete work orders, tests and inspections. Make recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems. Serve as a member of facility emergency response team. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling. Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline. Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade. Required Certifications and Licenses Master license in one trade or one of the following: Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or Journeyman Plumber License. Valid driver’s license.
