Dental Office Front Desk Representative

Business Assistant Metro Dentalcare in Burnsville, MN is seeking a front desk representative to join our team. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a great first impression. Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping. Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers in the office. File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verify benefits, and explain coverage. Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable. Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients. Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential. Schedule Monday: 9:30 a.m. – 6:15 p.m. Tuesday: 6:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Wednesday: 6:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Thursday: 6:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Friday: 7:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. (every other week) Minimum Qualifications Experience working in a fast‑paced and customer‑centric environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job‑related functions; regular HIPAA training will be required. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Experience 1+ year of experience in a dental or medical setting. 1+ year of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable. Dentrix or other dental software experience. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions intermittently throughout the year. A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions, except in the states of FL & TN.
