Material Handler Light Industrial

Seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations at Hill Air Force Base. The selected candidate will perform material handling, inventory, shipping/receiving, and stock replenishment activities. This is a physically active role requiring frequent standing, lifting, moving materials, and working with inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, move, and organize materials within the facility, warehouse, or worksite.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities as directed.
• Open containers using hand tools and inspect/count materials.
• Record quantities, weights, and inventory information accurately.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, racks, trays, conveyors, and equipment.
• Sort and place materials into designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL).
• Perform inventory checks using a Windows tablet.
• Use handheld scanners/tablets to order and replenish materials.
• Transport materials using carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain organized and safe work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 24 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or similar roles preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and remain on feet for most of the shift.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office/Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to use tablets, scanners, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to facility access requirements at Hill Air Force Base.
