Dispatcher (Paratransit) Transdev in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Benefits $23.00 - $30.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale) Starting pay $23.00 with progression to $30.00 over 6 years. Vacation: Up to 10 days per year Sick days: 3 days after one year of service; 8 days after two years of service Holidays: 10 paid holidays annually Pension Plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability Key Responsibilities Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc. Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips. Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services. Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service. Other duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred. 3-5 years’ experience dispatching. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills. Problem solving and analytical skills. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 0% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
