Position summary

\n

Golf Business Network is seeking a Sales & Marketing Coordinator to drive growth across membership, events, vendor partnerships, and GBN’s additional programs. Working closely with the Director of Business Development and the Director of Events, this role sells memberships and programs, fills events, and produces the marketing and communications that support every sale.

\n

The ideal candidate brings golf industry experience, a mix of sales and marketing skills, and the initiative to own projects from first contact to close. The role offers exposure to every area of the business.

Key responsibilities

\n

Marketing

\n

\n
• Produce and send GBN’s member and non-member newsletters.
\n
• Create graphics for email, social media, events, and promotional materials.
\n
• Write and distribute press releases.
\n
• Manage GBN’s social media channels, including content planning, posting, and engagement.
\n
• Write clear, on-brand copy for email, web, social media, and promotional materials.
\n
• Plan and execute strategic campaigns that drive membership sales, event registrations, and program enrollment.
\n
• Build email sequences and outreach campaigns that generate and nurture sales leads.
\n
• Maintain clean, accurate data across GBN’s CRM and marketing systems.
\n
• Use the CRM to segment audiences, build campaigns, and track results through to revenue.

Events

\n

\n
• Sell event registrations through direct attendee outreach for GBN retreats, summits, championships, and PGA Show activities.
\n
• Follow up with prospective attendees and convert interest into registrations.
\n
• Manage event registrations and attendee communications.
\n
• Support event logistics before, during, and after each event, in partnership with the Director of Events.
\n
• Engage attendees on-site to identify membership and upgrade opportunities.
\n
• Create event marketing and communications across email, social media, and the website.
\n

Membership

\n

\n
• Prospect and follow up with private clubs and golf professionals to generate new memberships.
\n
• Guide inbound applicants through the membership process from first conversation to signed membership.
\n
• Sell membership upgrades, from Individual to Staff and from Staff to Club.
\n
• Lead renewal and retention outreach, including win-back campaigns for lapsed members.
\n
• Develop marketing and communications that support membership sales, upgrades, and renewals.
\n
• Track membership leads and opportunities in the CRM.
\n
• Resolve member questions and account issues promptly and professionally.
\n

Vendor partnerships

\n

\n
• Identify and qualify prospective vendor partners and sponsors.
\n
• Support vendor partnership and sponsorship sales, renewals, and account follow-up alongside the Director of Business Development.
\n
• Produce marketing and communications for GBN’s vendor partners, including newsletter features, email promotions, and social media content.
\n

Additional programs

\n

\n
• Sell GBN’s Custom Shop, Destination Golf, and GBN University to members and clubs.
\n
• Identify cross-sell opportunities for these programs across member accounts.
\n
• Follow up on program inquiries and convert them into sales.
\n
• Develop marketing and communications that drive orders, participation, and enrollment.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience in the golf industry, specifically the private golf and country club space.
\n
• Experience in both sales and marketing, with a track record of prospecting, following up, and closing.
\n
• Comfortable picking up the phone and building relationships with club professionals, executives, and vendor partners.
\n
• Motivated by goals and measurable results.
\n
• Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to write clear, on-brand content for different audiences.
\n
• Graphic design skills, with experience in tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
\n
• Experience managing social media channels for a brand or organization.
\n
• Proficiency with CRM and email marketing platforms, and comfort managing data.
\n
• AI proficiency, or a strong interest in using AI tools to work faster and smarter.
\n
• Confidence, initiative, and a bias for action.
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
\n
• A strong sense of ownership, taking projects from concept to completion.
\n
