Account Sales Representative

\nWe are looking for a driven Sales Representative to grow with our expanding U.S. business. You will build your market, develop trusted customer partnerships, and serve as the bridge between scientific innovation and the researchers who need it.
\nWork Location:
\nThis role is primarily work-from-home. However, the successful candidate must be based in San Diego, CA, as the position requires regular local customer coverage, business development support, and occasional in-person meetings or events.
\n \nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Lead Generation & Sales: Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive company revenue and market expansion. \n
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. \n
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competition, and potential areas for growth. \n
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage partnerships with relevant stakeholders to enhance business opportunities. \n
- Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate deals, pricing structures, and contracts to maximize profitability. \n
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align business development strategies with company objectives. \n
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and key business metrics. \n
Qualifications & Skills:
\n- \n
- Education: PhD or Master's degree in Cell & Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics & Genomics, Immunology, Synthetic Biology, Environmental & Agricultural Biology, Life Sciences (for biotech/pharma), or a related field. \n
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role. Industry experience is preferred. \n
- Strong communication and negotiation skills \n
- Proven ability to generate leads and close deals \n
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to sales \n
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment \n
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics software is preferred \n
