Drupal Full Stack Developer

Salary: $145,600 - 166,400 per year Requirements:

• Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and upgrading Drupal applications
• Practical experience with Acquia Cloud
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with Drupal modules, themes, custom development, and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with Composer, Drush, and Drupal configuration management
• Experience debugging code, testing applications, using version control systems such as Git, and supporting deployments
• Understanding of web application security, performance optimization, and software development best practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Maintain, enhance, and support our Drupal websites and web applications hosted on Acquia Cloud
• Plan and carry out Drupal and Acquia environment upgrades to meet upcoming end-of-life and end-of-support needs
• Review existing code and make changes required for compatibility with upgraded platforms and dependencies
• Develop, customize, and troubleshoot Drupal modules, themes, and third-party integrations
• Identify and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility challenges
• Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing to support application quality and stability
• Assist with deployments, environment configuration, and troubleshooting across development, testing, and production environments
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to support successful, timely delivery
• Document technical changes, upgrade procedures, and best practices
• Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with our internal team as they build Drupal expertise

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer for a six-month contract with a client in Chicago, Illinois. The role supports the upgrade, maintenance, and enhancement of existing web applications as their Drupal and Acquia environment approaches end of life and end of support in December. The contractor will work with the existing engineering team and help build internal Drupal expertise through knowledge sharing. The pay range is $70–$80 per hour, with rates potentially negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. We are an equal opportunity employer.
