Starting hourly pay – $19.44. Part-time and full-time positions available on 1st and 2nd shift. Multiple, scheduled pay increases over your years of service. Longevity increases start at your fifth year and grow as long as you stay with the State of Ohio. Tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: under general supervision, cleans & maintains restrooms, living facilities &/or dining areas, offices (e.g., sweeps, mops, strips, buffs & waxes floors; vacuums carpets; cleans glass & mirrors; washes windows & walls; scrubs sinks, countertops, toilets; cleans & empties receptacles; dust varying surfaces; replenishes soap, toilet paper, paper towels). Responsible for exercising principles of infection control & implements infection control policies & procedures (e.g., wipes up spills & fluids on floor; washes & cleans resident beds & other furniture; proper use of personal protective equipment). Checks on supplies; stocks supply closets. Reports need for repair of equipment; reports evidence of fire, illegal entry & theft of property. Cleans offices (e.g., vacuums carpet, cleans & dusts furniture, fixtures & equipment; cleans & empties trash receptacles).

The Veteran Homes provide direct nursing home care at facilities in Sandusky and Georgetown as well as domiciliary living to qualified veterans in Sandusky.
