Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of clinical experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification to join a Level I trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work within the MRI department at a teaching hospital setting
• Adult and pediatric patients across acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma settings
• Primary schedule Monday-Thursday 1:30 PM-9:30 PM with Friday day or evening shift, 8-hour shifts
• May be assigned other shifts based on business needs
• No weekends or call required, but holiday coverage as needed
• Locations include University Hospital and other nearby facilities such as Science Drive
• Uses GE MRI equipment and PACS system
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Performs a wide range of MRI exams including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging
• Performs special imaging procedures such as MRA, MRV, MRCP, diffusion imaging, and spectroscopy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical MRI experience required
• ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification or ARMRIT certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV insertion
• Able to independently and confidently communicate with inpatient and ED teams
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Required to float as needed across facility locations
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification
• Two attempts allowed for telemetry exam; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
• References are not required for consideration
• Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as the top hospital in Wisconsin
