Work Environment This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, primarily through our state-of-the-art telehealth platform. Counselors will utilize secure electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions and treatment progress, ensuring continuity of care. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will engage in regular virtual meetings to discuss client cases and share insights, fostering a supportive communal ambiance, all while prioritizing clients' privacy and confidentiality at all times. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status, utilizing a variety of evidence-based tools and techniques to inform treatment planning. Develop and implement customized therapy plans that cater to the specific needs of each client, addressing diverse issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally competent practices and evidence-based treatment methodologies to maximize client engagement and progress. Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to therapy approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Provide referrals to other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists for medication management and allied health professionals for integrated care solutions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and outcomes in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of evolving mental health trends and therapeutic techniques. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role, you will work with a diverse client population primarily seeking help with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. With your background and expertise, you'll assist clients in navigating their mental health journeys, using tailored interventions that respect and acknowledge their unique cultural and personal backgrounds. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid mental health license in the state of Illinois, such as LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW. Minimum of four years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting with a wide variety of patient populations. Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment protocols, and techniques that foster cultural competence in therapy. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems to document assessments, treatment plans, and client progress. Exceptional crisis intervention skills and ability to navigate challenging situations while maintaining professionalism. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to build trust and rapport with clients from all walks of life. Preferred Experience Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy effectively, utilizing approaches that cater to clients' varying needs. Familiarity with online therapy platforms and remote client engagement strategies. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and professional skills development within the field of mental health. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges between USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
