DISHWASHER

Kitchen AttendantThe dish and general utility position are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.Qualifications1. Must speak fluent English.2. Must have a valid Driver's License and a mode of transportation.3. Must be 21 years of age or older.4. Must have at least 1 (one) year of experience in the Food and Beverage or Hospitality industry.5. Must have a High School Diploma.6. Must be available to work at least 20 hours a week.7. Cannot have a Felony or Misdemeanor on record.8. Must have two valid forms of identification that qualifies employee to work in the United States.9. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Essential FunctionsSort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machineSort and stack clean dishes, carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage area, rewash soiled dishes before deliveringChange dishwater in dish machine every hourWash pots, pans and trays by handRemove trash and garbage to dumpsterSet up or break down dishwashing areaClean and roll/unroll matsFill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutionsSweep/mop floorsAssemble/disassemble dish machineSweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpsterConduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directedWipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dryNotify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperaturesDo not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands firstOther duties as directedRequired Education and ExperienceAbility to read and comprehend labels on chemicalsHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Education and ExperienceOne year in similar positionCompetenciesCollaboration SkillsCustomer/Client FocusFlexibilityStress Management/ComposureCommunication ProficiencyThoroughnessTime ManagementSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.TravelNo travel is required for this position.Work EnvironmentThe work environment can be loud and busy. There are many kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors. This job operates in a kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances.
