Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Yard Truck Driver to support daily warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for safely operating a yard truck to move trailers within the facility to designated dock doors and staging areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a yard truck to move trailers within the facility yard
- Position trailers at loading and unloading docks
- Conduct routine inspections of yard truck equipment
- Maintain accurate records of trailer movement
- Communicate with warehouse staff regarding trailer placement
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Support general yard or warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous yard truck driving experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work 2nd shift
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Strong attention to safety and detail
